Dr. Travis Abele is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with additional subspecialty certification in neuroradiology who joined CORA in 2014. After finishing medical school and diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, he completed a two-year fellowship in neuroradiology at the University of Utah where he continues to serve as an adjunct assistant professor. In addition to general radiology, Dr. Abele has expertise in all aspects of neuroradiology including imaging of the brain, head and neck, and spine and also specializes in performing image guided spine procedures.
Dr. Abele has published ten journal articles and is a reviewer for the American Journal of Neuroradiology. Locally, he serves on the Stroke Committee at St. Charles and is an adviser to Stroke Awareness Oregon, a public charity championing stroke care in Central Oregon.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Abele enjoys spending time with his wife and young children in the great outdoors in and around Bend.
