Dr. Stephen Shultz is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist who comes to us from Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Shultz went to medical school at the University of California San Francisco followed by a radiology residency at the University of Utah. He did his fellowship training in body imaging at the University of California San Diego with an emphasis on ultrasound and practiced for 15 years in Salt Lake City before moving to Bend to join CORA in 2007.
He helped design and establish the only ACR designated Breast Center of Excellence in Central Oregon at CORA. He is passionate about the early detection of breast cancer and the improved outcomes and well-being that result. In addition to using mammography to promote early detection, Dr. Shultz has extensive experience with ultrasound and MRI of the breast. He also desires to make the patient’s experience as pleasant, stress free and seamless as possible. To this end he helped to establish the Breast Care Coordinator program at CORA to help guide patients through the process.
Dr. Shultz enjoys spending time with his family and two Australian Shepherds, preferably outdoors, biking, running, skiing, hiking and boating.
