Dr. Maureen Filipek is a board certified Diagnostic radiologist who was raised, educated, and trained in Oregon, but most recently comes to us from Homer, AK. Dr. Filipek is grateful for the excellent education she received at Oregon Health and Sciences University, and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2000.
She brings expertise and enthusiasm in all general radiology modalities, but her largest passion lies in Women’s Imaging, stemming from over 6 years as a designated Women’s Imager in the greater Portland Metropolitan area after residency. She worked there in collaboration with designated breast surgeons and breast oncologists, and participated in many city wide teaching events and symposiums regarding breast cancer diagnosis, intervention and treatment.
She loves a challenge and brings vast experience in all general modalities, and basic intervention (including drainages (paracentesis/thoracentesis), image guided biopsy, epidural steroid and facet injection, endovenous vein ablation, MSK therapeutic injections, line placements, etc.)
She looks forward to serving the greater Central Oregon community and treating each patient and exam with utmost care.
Dr. Filipek is excited to return to her home state and also running a small farm with her husband in Central Oregon. She is an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction. She also enjoys any form of outdoor movement, and making memories with her family and friends.
